I can certainly see the benefits in blogging, especially for libraries (the ACT library blog, incidentally, mentions a hilarious competition named "Diagram Prize for Oddest Book Title of the Year"), but in terms of personal use, or in terms seeking out the opinions of "bloggers", and then responding to them, then no, I would never make use of it. I'm no luddite, but I'd much rather have a conversation with a family member, friend or work colleague. And if I'm after an "online opinion", from politics to sport to science, I can always check out "slate magazine" and other sites like it.
